O’Loughlin Gaels were the defending champions, however, they were defeated in the semi final by Ballyhale Shamrocks. While James Stephens dispatched of St. martins in the semi final.
Both teams had met the week before on the 23rd of October but could not be separated with Shamrocks 0-11 to James Stephens 1-08
Henry Shefflin was in his pomp, with the Shamrocks man the top scorer in the championship coming into the game. However intercounty teammate Eoin Larkin was the one who shone on the day outscoring Henry 1-11 to 8 points.
The game finished 0-15 - 1-20 in favour of the Village, with captain Jackie Tyrell lifting the ninth Tom Walsh cup for the city side.
